Foil Rock Wool Roll Blanket is a flexible, high-performance insulation material that combines excellent thermal efficiency with an effective vapor barrier. It consists of a resilient rock wool blanket core—manufactured from natural volcanic basalt—factory-laminated to reinforced aluminum foil facing (commonly FSK: Foil-Scrim-Kraft).
Unlike rigid boards, the roll format is highly flexible and conformable, making it ideal for wrapping large-diameter pipes, rectangular or circular ducts, boilers, vessels, and irregularly shaped equipment. The foil facing protects the rock wool fibers, prevents moisture ingress, and enhances overall system durability and performance.

The reinforced aluminum foil facing (commonly FSK: Foil-Scrim-Kraft) functions as a high-performance vapor barrier. In cold applications such as HVAC ducts or chilled pipes, it prevents humid ambient air from reaching the cold surface, eliminating "duct sweating" and reducing risks of corrosion, mold growth, and water damage.
2. Enhanced Thermal PerformanceThe rock wool core provides excellent resistance to conductive and convective heat transfer due to its low thermal conductivity (typically λ ≤ 0.040 W/m·K). The aluminum foil facing adds a radiant heat reflection layer, creating a combined insulation performance that maintains desired temperatures in pipes and ducts over long runs, contributing to reduced energy consumption.
3. Superior Flexibility for Irregular ShapesThe flexible blanket format is highly comfortable and resilient, unlike rigid boards. It easily wraps around large-diameter pipes, circular or rectangular ducts, boilers, vessels, and irregularly shaped equipment, ensuring a tight fit with minimal gaps or thermal bridges in challenging installations.
4. Class A1 Non-Combustible Fire SafetyThe rock wool core, made from inorganic basalt rock, is Euroclass A1 non-combustible with a melting point exceeding 1000°C. It does not ignite, propagate flames, or release toxic smoke, providing reliable fire protection and maintaining system integrity during fire exposure.
5. Improved Durability and Fiber ProtectionThe factory-laminated foil facing serves as a robust protective layer, containing rock wool fibers to prevent release into the environment. It offers high tear resistance during handling and installation, while protecting against dust, oil, and minor mechanical damage. The inorganic composition ensures no degradation, rot, or microbial growth over time.
